Former Wildcat Standout Caleb Huntley Making a Name for Himself at Ball State University
January 19, 2020
Former Locust Grove Wildcat running back Caleb Huntley just wrapped up another outstanding season with the Ball State University Cardinals in Muncie, Indiana. Huntley graduated from Locust Grove in 2017 after being named the Henry Herald Player of the Year following the 2016 football season.
As a junior this year, Huntley led Ball State in rushing with 1275 yards, good for third in the Mid-American Conference. His best game came against Kent State on November 23, when he carried the ball 30 times for 192 yards.
Huntley also had an outstanding season as a true freshman in 2017, when he gained 1003 yards on the ground. After an Achilles injury limited his playing time in 2018, he returned better than ever, earning a nomination for the Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year Award.
