The Braves, The Falcons, The Georgia Bulldogs; these were some of the many jerseys worn at Friday’s Varsity Football game. The crowd was wild with music and chants at Friday night’s Varsity Football game.

Locust Grove faced off with the Stockbridge Tigers. The game was filled with cheers and excitement from the crowd. Not to mention how outstanding the Stockbridge band and dance team were.

Dressed in their bright orange and black the band played an array of popular songs with amazing execution. Their dance team performed with unique and sassy moves unlike anything we’ve seen at LGHS. The Stockbridge teams even cheered on our own Wildcat Band and Color Guard.

Alive with pride, Tucker Malcolm and the other members of SGA led the LGHS Student Section. The Jersey Night theme led to everyone decked out in team jerseys and sports gear.

Photo areas were even set up for fans to take as many pictures as their hearts desired. Partnered with the Varsity cheer team, students danced and cheered. A fan favorite was the cheer Pump It Up. “Because the crowd gets involved, it’s a cheer that everyone can kind of jump around, dance, and have fun to” Ashlyn Matthews, a Varsity cheerleader, says.

The Wildcats lost with a score of 42-0, but the crowd still cheered. “No matter the score I will always show up to cheer on the ‘Cats!” Maddy Brown says.
