Vending Machines Could Use an Overhaul

Dear Wildcat Chronicle,

One of the issues we have at Locust Grove is that there are not a lot of choices in the vending machines. Most of the products are low-fat and dont have enough calories. A high school day can last up to 8 hours, 10 if you play sports or are in a club. Which means we need to eat enough food to function throughout the day. The vending machine doesn’t provide the proper food or drinks for a teenager to function throughout the day. They also have a lot of whole grain foods which are healthy but not tasty. So I feel like the solution to this is to give us more options or to open up a school store that sells good food everyday. Also a lot of times when we choose something that might not be healthy it either gets stuck or doesnt work at all. So I believe they could upgrade the vending machines because a lot of times they don’t work.

Sincerely,
